FB-100 Ca-Zn Stabilizer for Printable PVC Edge Banding

FB-100 is a powder calcium-zinc PVC heat stabilizer developed for printable furniture edge banding and selected decorative PVC profiles. It is designed to support heat stability, controlled fusion, high-gloss surface quality, low plate-out and consistent print reception during extrusion or calendering. Printing results must be validated together with the PVC formulation, lubricant balance, surface treatment, ink and curing system.

FB-100 Calcium-Zinc Stabilizer for Printable PVC Edge Banding

WANSYN FB-100 is a powder calcium-zinc stabilizer for processors producing printable furniture edge banding and selected decorative PVC profiles. The grade is designed to balance heat stability, fusion behavior, surface gloss, line cleanliness and downstream print reception. It is supplied through WANSYN's PVC stabilizer portfolio, supported by a modern production base with annual stabilizer capacity of 50,000 metric tons.

Target Benefits and Application Scope

  • Heat-stability support for PVC edge-banding extrusion or related calendering
  • Controlled fusion and flow with a correctly balanced lubricant package
  • High-gloss surface target for wood-grain and solid-color edge strips
  • Low plate-out and cleaner die or roll surfaces under suitable conditions
  • Color consistency and print-receptive surface development

Typical applications include printable PVC furniture edge banding, high-gloss edge strips and selected decorative PVC profiles. FB-100 should not automatically be transferred to ABS or another polymer; identify every layer in a coextruded structure.

Printing Performance Is a System Result

Control area Information to review Recommended check
PVC formulation Resin K-value, filler, TiO2, pigments and modifiers Fusion, color and surface uniformity
Stabilizer and lubrication Current chemistry, dosage and internal/external lubricants Torque, plate-out, die build-up and gloss
Surface treatment Corona, flame or primer and target dyne level Treatment uniformity before printing
Ink and curing Ink chemistry, drying or UV-curing parameters Customer-approved adhesion, rub and ageing tests

A stabilizer can influence fusion and surface chemistry, but it cannot guarantee ink adhesion by itself. Treatment, ink, curing, contamination and conditioning must be controlled.

What to Measure During an FB-100 Trial

  • Fusion time, torque, motor load and output stability
  • Initial color, gloss, smoothness, flow marks and oil spots
  • Plate-out, die deposits and cleaning interval
  • Surface-treatment level before printing
  • Ink adhesion using the customer's tape, cross-hatch, rub or ageing method
  • Flexing, trimming and application performance of the finished edge banding

Dosage and Lubrication Balance

FB-100 does not have one universal dosage. WANSYN can propose a starting trial direction after reviewing the current stabilizer and full formulation. Final dosage and lubrication must be confirmed on the intended line. If adhesion is poor, distinguish incomplete fusion, lubricant migration, surface contamination, insufficient treatment, incompatible ink and inadequate curing before changing the stabilizer.

Product, Documents and Supply Review

Form White powder
Moisture ≤1.0 as currently listed; confirm test method on TDS or COA
Packing 25 kg/bag, subject to quotation
Storage reference 12 months under stated conditions; confirm current label or TDS
Documents TDS, SDS and available grade-specific reports on request

FB-100 is positioned as a lead-free Ca-Zn grade. RoHS, REACH, heavy-metal, weathering or other statements must be checked against current grade documents and the destination market. Sample availability and technical-service scope are confirmed separately.

Information Required for Grade Matching

  • PVC resin grade and complete formulation
  • Filler, pigment, TiO2, modifier and processing-aid levels
  • Current stabilizer, dosage and lubricant package
  • Extruder, die, temperature profile, speed and cooling
  • Surface treatment, target dyne, ink and curing system
  • Adhesion-test method, current defect, required documents and annual volume

Frequently Asked Questions

Can FB-100 guarantee ink adhesion?

No. It is designed to support a suitable extrusion surface, but adhesion must be validated with treatment, ink, curing and the customer's test.

Can it reduce plate-out?

It is designed for low plate-out when stabilization and lubrication are matched. Measure deposits during a controlled line trial.

Is it suitable for high-gloss edge banding?

It can be evaluated; gloss also depends on fusion, die condition, pigment dispersion, cooling and surface treatment.

Can it directly replace the current stabilizer?

A one-for-one replacement should not be assumed. Compare chemistry, dosage, formulation and processing window.

Which documents are available?

Availability is confirmed by grade and market. List required TDS, SDS, RoHS, REACH or third-party reports in the RFQ.
